Use brightness selectively
White against real materials
Paint, stone, and stucco affect how a lighting color appears. Ask to see a white-light sample near the material on your own home.
Room for darkness
An unlit section can help a lit feature stand out. Consider which points to leave off rather than making maximum brightness the default.
Choose focal points at ground level
Walk toward the home along your normal arrival route. Note what you want someone to see first and what is currently lost in shadow. A tall entry may need a different treatment from a garage facade. Bring that view into your conversation with Lifetime Lights so the result is designed for people approaching the home, not only for a wide photograph.
Separate architectural accents from task lighting
A pool of light on a wall can look attractive without lighting the walking surface below it. Steps, paths, and outdoor work areas need their own assessment. Pair roofline accents with suitable landscape or existing task fixtures where needed. Decorative lighting should not be described as a substitute for every other exterior light.
Try the lower setting
White light at full output is useful for a demonstration, but your nightly setting may be much lower. View it from inside the living room and from the property edge. Reduce reflected glare near windows and choose a shutoff time. For community requirements, use the rules for your own address rather than assuming a neighbor's installation establishes approval.

- Show the paint and stone colors in daylight.
- Check the effect from indoors as well as the street.
